Attorney Complaint Information for TX

Adapted by texaslawhelp.org from State Bar of Texas guidelines • Last Updated on January 2, 2023

The State Bar of Texas enforces ethical conduct among lawyers in the state. A person can file a complaint against a lawyer by completing a grievance form and submitting it, along with supporting documents, to the Office of Chief Disciplinary Counsel. The Chief Disciplinary Counsel will review the complaint to determine if what the lawyer did violates the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct.
