We're hiring a paralegal for litigation and administrative proceedings — not PI or med-mal, but the broad contested work of a community firm. We're hiring for a transportable skill set: procedural discipline, deadline tracking, and moving contested matters through a court or an agency.
PEEPL Law is a community-based firm, and our litigation work reflects that — it's broad. We're not a personal injury or med-mal shop. Our contested matters run across civil litigation and, just as often, administrative proceedings: a client fighting a state agency's benefits denial, a surviving spouse pursuing VA benefits, or a claim against an insurance carrier that won't pay.
What ties this work together isn't the subject matter — it's the skill set. Procedural discipline. Deadline tracking. Building a record. Knowing how to move a contested matter forward through a court or an agency. That's what we're hiring for.
We expect the right candidate to come from one domain where this skill set is well-developed and bring it to bear across others. If you've spent five years running VA claims, or insurance bad-faith files, or administrative fair hearings, or commercial litigation discovery — and you're the kind of person who learns a new procedural framework quickly — we want to talk to you.
Billable Hours: Minimum billable hour expectations consistent with industry standards. Specifics discussed during interview.
This is a fully in-office role at our Lakeway office. You must currently live in the Lake Travis area or be in the process of relocating here. We are not hiring commuters from Round Rock, Cedar Park, or central/east Austin. We're building a community-based firm and we want team members who are part of the community.
